A 7.7 magnitude earthquake hit the north -west of Myanmar, causing serious damage in different cities in the country. The earthquake was warned in nearby Thailand, where several buildings were damaged and at least one, a skyscraper, collapsed in Bangkok. In Myanmar The shock hit 16 kilometers north-west of the city of Sagaing, at a depth of 10 kilometers, around 12:50 local time (6:20 GMT), according to the most detailed surveys of the United States Geological Service (USGS).
