The Kremlin spokesman, Dimitri Peskov, said Friday that the Ukrainian army does not respond to the orders of the kyiv authorities since the attacks against their energy infrastructure continue to fall, making it impossible to start the stop the negotiated fire in Saudi Arabia.
“If Ukraine adhered to the moratorium and gave the orders corresponding to his armed forces, it is evident that they are not being fulfilled,” Peskov said at a press conference, according to the TASS news agency.
“There is a total lack of control of the Armed Forces by Ukraine,” said Kremlin spokesman, who has insisted that the army is “ignoring the orders of the country’s authorities.”
On the other hand, he has assured that Russia is fulfilling, but has warned that the right to respond if Ukraine continues as until now. “It would be illogical” to fulfill the truce while “we face these attacks on our energy facilities every night,” he said.
On the other hand, he has reproached that the European Union continue with its idea of continuing to apply sanctions on the Russian economy as the negotiation progresses and has indicated that these measures do not contribute to a peaceful solution of the conflict.
“If European countries do not want to follow this path, it means that they do not want to follow the path of peace or contribute or act in unison with the efforts that Moscow and Washington are doing on the peaceful way,” he said.
On the other hand, the Ukrainian authorities have denied these accusations and have pointed out to the Russian part for spreading misinformation through their usual channels. “The Ukraine Defense Forces adhere to the agreements reached with their partners to stop attacks on energy objects,” said the General Staff.
In turn, Ukraine has assured that “concrete violations of those agreements” committed by the Russian army have been registered. “Only in the last 24 hours there have been Russian attacks that have damaged energy facilities in the Jersón and Poltava region,” he said.
