The American wants to use to increase the efficiency of the yellow arch shield

The American Army wants to apply AI technology to reduce the personnel operating and maintenance of the yellow arch rocket.

General Frank Lozano, an official in charge of the US Army’s procurement, said on March 29, said that the military was studying solutions to use artificial intelligence (AI) to increase the automation and reduce the necessary manpower to operate the golden arch, the missile defense project was promoted by President Donald Trump.

“We are trying to accomplish three goals including integrating the fire control system to apply AI technology, adding remote control combinations to limit the number of operators and maintenance of weapons, strengthening automatic weapons systems,” he said.

General Lozano added that the yellow arch rocket shield can use the launcher and preservation of the missile. “Such systems do not need regular maintenance, so the size of the personnel is also smaller. This helps the operating unit just need to check the state of ready to fight every few weeks. This activity can also proceed,” Lozano said.

According to the current structure, each US Army missile launcher needs at least 2-3 soldiers to serve.

To accomplish the above goal, the US Army intends to use the information obtained during the process of completing the Guam defense system, including a series of sensors and multi -storey defense systems expected to operate in 2027.

The integrated fire testing program of the US Army will shift from finishing the Guam shield to integrated automation and who enters the golden arch after 2026.

The US Army recently approached many new companies to participate in AI markets to apply this technology. General Lozano said the military was discussing with Anduril about how to integrate the ability to control fire by AI into the command system, control air and missile.

President Trump on January 27 signed a series of decrees related to the US military, including documents on the development of air defense systems called “American iron arches” to protect the entire territory of the country before the opponent’s modern missile.

US officials then renamed this combination into a yellow arch, but did not state the reason. According to American media, the decision may be aimed at distinguishing new systems from Israeli iron arches, which specializes in short -range ammunition, low flight speeds such as mortar and rocket, which are not suitable to deal with ballistic missiles and long -range journeys.
