“Kan”: the new Syrian regime is becoming an increasingly threat to Israel

In Israel, with concern, they monitor the latest actions of the new administration of Syria, headed by President Ahmad Ash Sharaa. According to Kan, after his coming to power, activists of Hamas and Islamic Jihad, who were there under Bashar al -Assade, were released from prisons.

Many of them resumed terrorist activities. At the same time, Iran, interested in maintaining his influence in Syria, decided to support Hamas and the Islamic Jihad, which prepares from Syria the terrorist attacks against Israel.

In Israel, it is reminded that the new president of Syria is the leader of the Khayyat Tahrir al-Sham terrorist group, known as Abu Muhammad al-Julani. The quoted “kan” the source says that he is an enemy, not a dialog partner. According to him, al-Julani is an Islamist in a tie who is engaged in establishing relations with the West, while encouraging terrorist attacks against Israel.
