Painter Sarah Boardman feared a 41 -year career was ruined because President Trump did not like his portrait painting by her.
“I have accurately completed the portrait, no intention of misrepresentation, political bias or any satire intentions, whether directly or indirectly,” painter Sarah Boardman on April 6 declared on his own website, emphasizing that she only worked in accordance with the contract with Colorado Parliament to order portrait painting Donald Trump in 2019.
The British female artist said the painting has been hung at the Colorado Parliament Court for the past six years, defending many other politicians and during that time received a lot of positive compliments.
“The Trump President has the right to make his own comments like everyone, but the allegations that I intentionally distort the image and that I lost my talent when old age has directly and negatively affected my career for more than 41 years. These damage may not be recovered,” Boardman added.
Boardman did not detail how her artistic activities were affected by this controversy, just saying that she would not comment further.

The portrait of Mr. Trump painted by the boardman was hung next to the portraits of other US presidents at the Colorado Parliament building in the city of Denver, until Mr. Trump last month criticized on social networks.
“No one likes a bad picture of me, but the picture in Colorado, in the Parliamentary Building is a purposeful distortion at an unprecedented level,” Trump wrote on the Truth Social social network.
He said that the portrait of former President Barack Obama, also painted by boardman, was hung right next to “look great”, while “my picture was clearly worst”.

In addition to criticizing Boardman, Mr. Trump also attacked the Democratic Governor Jared Polis for letting that “terrible picture” on display in public, wrote: “Jared should feel ashamed about myself!”.
In fact, the Republican MPs in Colorado raised more than $ 10,000 via the Gofundme website to hire this portrait to honor Mr. Trump in 2019, in his first term.
The work was later removed at the request of Republican MPs, including the leadership of the Senate of Colorado Paul Lundeen.
