The Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni welcomed at Villa Pamphilj King Carlo. To attend the arrival, dozens of journalists and photographers, while the Montebello launchers were lined up along the red carpet to pay homage. The British premier and sovereign had a short interview. Regina Camilla was not present, engaged in a visit to the Manzoni educational institute.
King Carlo arrived on board his traditional Bentley State Limousine color amaranto. Together with President Meloni he then reviewed the honor guard. Arrived in front of the entrance of the villa, the two stopped for a handshake in front of the photographers. At the end of the meeting with Charles III, Meloni will also receive Queen Rania of Jordan.
At the slaughterhouse
The second Roman appointment today for the sovereign was at the former slaughterhouse shortly after 11:30, welcomed by the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella and the mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri. Together they visited the National Academy of Dramatic Art Silvio D’Amico, accompanied by President Gianni Letta, by the actors Luca Zingaretti and Margherita Buy, and by Minister Annamaria Bernini.
Charles III and Mattarella will witness the representation, in Italian, of the first act of Shakespeare’s Otello, subsequently meeting the students. Following, both will participate in a round table dedicated to the supply chains of clean energy, co-president by the Italian Foreign Minister, Antonio Tajani, and by the British Foreign Minister, David Lammy.
