Budapest continues to block the offer of money from the Peace Foundation to Armenia

After the meeting in Luxembourg, the Foreign Ministers of the EU (EU) countries referred to the Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, and the diplomatic sources of “Azatutyun” were reported.

One of the main topics of discussion was the proposal to allocate 10 million euros to Armenia from the EU Peace Foundation, which was presented by EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security. Hungary, known for his close relationship with the President of Azerbaijan, is already using his veto’s right to sixth week, the decision is blocked, the sources of “Azatutyun” report.

Budapest did the same way last year when the European Union first began to discuss the issue of providing 10 million euros from the Peace Foundation to Armenia. At that time, Budapest demanded that Azerbaijan be included in the program. After weeks, the European diplomats have managed to overcome the Budapest confrontation after weeks.

“No progress has been made since today’s talks,” the sources of “Azatutyun” reported.
