The Prime Minister suggested Vietnam – China give high priority to rail cooperation

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh met with General Secretary, President Xi Jinping at the Party Central Committee’s headquarters, expect the two countries to increase cooperation in all fields, especially in railway.

In the afternoon of April 14, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh believed that the visit of General Secretary and Chinese President Xi Jinping to Vietnam in the 75th anniversary of the two countries establishing diplomatic relations will continue to be a historic milestone, contributing to the strategic orientation and bringing a strong motivation to promote the relationship between the two parties and the two countries.

The Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam consistently considered developing relations with China as an objective requirement, a strategy selection and top priority. Vietnam is determined to promote building the community to share the future of Vietnam – China with strategic significance that is increasingly closely linked, commensurate with the high level of strategic and historical length between the two parties and the two countries.

The Prime Minister asked the two sides to build a reliable and good political relationship to lead the overall bilateral relations, maintain the exchange between the highest leadership of the two parties and the two countries, the contact mechanism between the two Prime Ministers. The two countries promote national defense and security cooperation that truly become the pillar of relations, coordination and mutual support in multilateral frameworks.

The Prime Minister wants the two sides to improve the quality and effectiveness of actual cooperation, including high priority for rail cooperation, especially in credit, technology transfer and human resource training, striving to start construction of Lao Cai – Hanoi – Hai Phong route in 2025 and followed by Dong Dang – Hanoi, Mong Cai – Ha Long – Hai Phong railway.

The parties promote trade and balanced and sustainable development, creating conditions for agricultural products and other Vietnamese items to export to China. The Prime Minister also stated the desire to promote cooperation in developing new production forces, focusing on science – technology, innovation and transformation, soon there are iconic large projects of bilateral relations in Vietnam.

The Prime Minister asked the two sides to continue building a border of peace, friendship, cooperation and development; Maintain peace, stability at sea, strengthen the environment smoothly for the development of each country.

General Secretary and Chinese President Xi Jinping said that the two sides signed 45 cooperation documents with very actually content. He affirmed that the Party and the Chinese Government steadfastly supported Vietnam to go on the socialist path in accordance with the situation of Vietnam, ready to join Vietnam to focus on building a community to share the future between the two countries around the direction of 6, contributing to the progressive cause of humanity.

General Secretary, Chinese President Xi Jinping welcomed and appreciated the opinions of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, expect the two sides to promote well the exchange mechanisms, especially the Steering Committee of bilateral cooperation.

Chinese leaders want the two countries to hold the opportunity to develop in the field of science and technology, take advantage of close geographical distance to exploit the potential of economic cooperation and develop industries, and actively promote the rail cooperation mechanism.

He affirmed that China is willing to expand the import of agricultural products of Vietnam, support Chinese businesses to increase high quality investment in Vietnam and request the ministries to implement cooperation projects. The two sides need to control adequately disagree according to the common sense of senior leaders, promote cooperation at sea, and maintain peace and stability in the region and in the world.
