Ukraine attacks “with success”, far away Russian city of Vladivostok

The Ukrainian intelligence service Hur has carried out a “successful” attack on a military base in Vladivostok, reports the Ukrainian news agency RBC. Remarkable: Vladivostok is located in the Russian Far East and is more than 7,000 kilometers away from Ukraine.

On Friday morning, two powerful explosions would have taken place in an area where the 155th naval brigade of the Russian army was stationed. Among other things, a checkpoint would have been affected.

The brigade in question would have already fought in Marioepol and Koersk. “Both staff and military equipment were hit,” said sources to RBC. According to local residents, at least ten ambulances and evacuation helicopters arrived and damaged equipment with military trucks were removed from the base.

The regional authorities minimize the damage and say that the incident was caused by an explosion of two gas cylinders. They state that no one was injured.

Vladivostok is not that far from the border with North Korea. Details about the Ukrainian attack were not announced. It would be the first time in the war that Ukraine is attacking so deep in Russia.
