A meeting between the leadership of Hamas and Fatah took place in Cairo, the management of Gaza was discussed

In Cairo on the evening of October 23, negotiations were held between a Hamas delegation led by the chairman of the group’s Politburo Khalil al-Hayya and a Fatah delegation led by Deputy Chairman of the Palestinian Authority Hussein al-Sheikh and the head of PA counterintelligence Majid Faraj.

The subject of discussion was the implementation of the second stage of the peace plan of US President Donald Trump. It provides for the creation of an administrative management body for the Gaza Strip, which will be under the control of the Peace Council, headed by the American president.

“Issues were discussed about the weapons of the resistance forces, the management of the sector and the administration created for this,” an informed source told the pan-Arab publication Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed. Let us remember that, according to Trump’s plan, Hamas must be disarmed and prohibited from participating in the management of the sector.

Egyptian and Hamas sources told the publication that, in addition to the negotiations between Hamas and Fatah, a meeting of representatives of all Palestinian factions was held in Cairo, in which representatives of the Egyptian security service also took part.
