Lebanese President Joseph Aoun has ordered the country’s armed forces to repel Israeli raids on Lebanese territory after IDF actions killed a municipal employee in southern Lebanon.
“The army must counter Israeli attempts to penetrate the liberated southern territories in order to protect Lebanese lands and our fellow citizens,” he said at a meeting with the commander of the armed forces.
Earlier, Lebanese sources reported that the Israeli military in the Blida area, in southern Lebanon, killed municipal worker Ibrahim Salama during the storming of the municipal building.
The IDF confirmed that on the night of October 30, an operation was carried out in the Blida area to destroy Hezbollah infrastructure. It is noted that the fire was opened in response to an immediate threat. An investigation has been launched.
