Résumé. Drama at Buckingham Palace. On Friday October 17, Prince Andrew renounces his royal titles. In other words, he will no longer be able to claim his titles as Duke of York or Knight of the Garter.
One more step in his withdrawal from public life. In 2011, his proximity to sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein – suspected of having killed more than a thousand victims – was revealed in the press. Added to this is also a woman, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, who accuses the prince of rape.
Andrew, now 65, is the third child of Elizabeth II and notoriously known as her favorite son.
How did Prince Andrew go from darling to outcast? Elements of answers with Delphine Kargayan, she is the former correspondent of Le Parisien in London and has followed the affair since the beginning.
