And FAL rifle of the Argentine Armed Forces It was found in the last few hours by the Brazilian authorities during the seizure of the arsenal that the Red Command had, in the middle of the war that broke out between the drug group and the Rio de Janeiro police in two favelas of the capital of the state of Rio de Janeiro.
This was confirmed this Thursday by Vinicius Domingos, Head of the Police Weapons Inspection Coordination Unit. In the count, they also appeared German G3 platform rifles, other Belgian platform FALs, Russian AK47s and American ARs.
Among the FAL appears that of the Armed Forces. from Argentina and others belonging to the armies of Peru, Venezuela and Brazil, among many others.
Domingos reported this on his Instagram account, where he shared a video showing some of the weapons seized during the operation.
There he made a count of some of the rifles, explaining that there were several Russian AK47s and others with an American AR platform, although he assured that around 90% of the latter are counterfeit.
The weapons seized from the drug organization are being part of an investigation that is just beginning and will have an exhaustive study to also determine where they came into the hands of the drug traffickers.
According to Domingos, these weapons, after the study to which they will be subjected, can then be used by the Brazilian Forces.
In the case of the Argentine weapon, it is speculated that it may be one of the 43 fales of the 603rd Battalion of Fray Luis Beltrán that disappeared more than 14 years ago. Several soldiers have been prosecuted for this incident, but the case is about to be banned. By then, 2,500 FAL parts had also been taken, allowing up to 400 of these weapons to be assembled.
