The US canceled the Trump-Putin meeting because of Moscow’s tough demands document. FT:

The Financial Times, citing its sources, reports that Washington has canceled the planned meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Budapest, when it sent a document setting out its tough demands to Washington.

According to the FT, the memorandum presented by Russia demanded that Kiev make territorial concessions, reduce Ukraine’s armed forces and give guarantees not to join NATO. Russia also demanded control over the entire Donbas.

One of the sources of the newspaper noted that the US president is “not impressed” by this position of Russia.

Donald Trump announced the other day that he does not consider it advisable to meet with Putin for the time being, the head of the Kremlin responded that perhaps it is about delaying the negotiations, not canceling them.
