President Liang Qiang met with Chinese President Xi Jinping within the APEC framework in Korea, agreeing to strengthen cooperation.
At a meeting within the framework of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit in Korea, President Luong Cuong and Chinese President Xi Jinping highly appreciated the good progress in relations between the two countries over the past time, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The two sides agreed to continue to strengthen exchanges and contacts at high levels and at all levels, consolidate political trust, strengthen practical cooperation, promote people-to-people exchanges, and promote stable, healthy, sustainable and increasingly in-depth development of Vietnam-China relations.

The President affirmed that Vietnam always considers developing relations with China an objective requirement, strategic choice, and top priority in foreign policy. The President proposed that the two sides expand mutually beneficial cooperation in all fields.
Chinese President Xi Jinping also said that the country attaches great importance to relations with Vietnam, proposed that the two sides continue to deepen relations, and affirmed their readiness to strengthen cooperation in all fields with Vietnam.
The two sides also discussed maritime issues and international and regional issues of mutual concern. Vietnam and China agreed to continue to properly control and handle disagreements, jointly maintaining peace, stability and development in the region.
President Luong Cuong is on a business trip to Korea from October 29 to November 1, attending the 2025 APEC Summit Week and working bilaterally in this country.
