Syrian Foreign Ministry: The Israeli bombing of Beit Jinn is a war crime

The Syrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday condemned the Israeli incursion into its territory and the targeting of local residents, describing it as a “war crime,” after 13 people were killed in the operation, according to a new official toll. The Foreign Ministry stated in a statement, “The Syrian Arab Republic condemns in the strongest terms the criminal attack carried out by an Israeli army patrol during its incursion” into Beit Jinn, considering that its attempt to “target” the village “with brutal and deliberate bombing constitutes a full-fledged war crime, and that the continuation of the Israeli “attacks” threatens security and stability in the region.” Earlier, Syrian media and the Israeli army revealed details of a ground incursion and air strike on the town of Beit Jinn in the Damascus countryside.
