Trump’s “message” to Israel: “It is important not to interfere with the transformation of Syria into a prosperous state”

US President Donald Trump for the first time since the IDF operation in Bayt Jan commented on the latest events in Syria.

On the social network Truth Social, he wrote that the United States is satisfied with the results of the Syrian government. “We are doing everything possible to ensure that the Syrian government continues to do what it was intended to do … to build a truly prosperous country. One of the factors that helped them enormously was the lifting of very harsh and painful sanctions,” the US president wrote.

Donald Trump also touched upon relations between Israel and Syria. “It is imperative that Israel maintains a strong and sincere dialogue with Syria so that nothing happens that could interfere with Syria’s development into a prosperous state,” it said.

Donald Trump also notes that the new Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa “is making every effort to ensure that everything goes well and that Syria and Israel have a long and fruitful relationship.”

On the night of November 28, the forces of the 55th reservist brigade “Hod HaKhanit” conducted an operation to detain Jamaat Islamiyah terrorists in the village of Bayt Jan in southwestern Syria near the Israeli border. During the operation, militants opened fire on military personnel. As a result, three servicemen (two officers and a reservist) were seriously wounded, another was moderately wounded, and two were slightly wounded. According to the IDF, all suspects who were preparing an attack on Israeli territory have been detained, and several militants have been eliminated.
