Maariv also learned that during the conversation Trump and Netanyahu discussed the amnesty issue. Trump expressed support and backing during the process, and Netanyahu thanked him for it.
Trump added that “we are doing everything we can to make sure that the Syrian government continues to do what it was designed to do – something essential – to build a real and prosperous state.”
He also wrote that one of the factors that helped Syria a lot was his decision “to cancel the strong and painful sanctions”, a decision that he said was “highly appreciated by Syria, its leadership and its people”.
Later, Trump gave a clear hint to Israel, when he wrote: “It is very important that Israel maintains a strong dialogue, as well as with Syria, and that nothing happens that interferes with the development of Syria into a prosperous country.”
Trump concluded: “This is a historic opportunity, which adds to the success already achieved on the road to peace in the Middle East!”.
According to him, “We cannot accept this project, which will lead to the actual annexation of the West Bank.” He also added that Qatar is working with regional partners and the United States to ensure “that the West Bank is not forgotten.”
