Trump says attacks inside Venezuela will begin ‘very soon’

“We’re going to start carrying out these attacks on land too. It’s much easier. We know the routes they take. We know everything about them. We know where they live. We know where the bad guys live, and we’re going to start with that very soon,” Trump declared during a security meeting of his cabinet broadcast by the White House.

In his speech, he accused the previous Administration, led by Democrat Joe Biden, of applying an immigration policy that has allowed a flow of drugs and the entry of “murderers” without “any control” that has claimed many lives in the United States: “We are eliminating those sons of bitches,” he declared.

However, the New York magnate has considered carrying out bombings against other countries under this same argument, since he has considered that “anyone” who produces or sells drugs to the United States “is subject to attack.”

Trump’s statements come just a few days after he had a telephone conversation with his Venezuelan counterpart, Nicolás Maduro, in the midst of bilateral tensions since the US military deployment in the waters of the Caribbean and the Pacific, alleging a fight against drug trafficking.
