Meloni hears Zelensky: Italy will provide energy aid to Kiev. A visit to Rome is in sight

“The Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, had a telephone conversation today with the Ukrainian President Zelensky in view of a series of working visits that the latter will make in these days to London, Brussels and Rome, as part of his contacts on peace process in Ukraine with the main European leaders”. Functional to this path is Ukraine’s reiterated willingness to sit in good faith at the negotiating table. The hope was therefore once again reiterated that a similar openness will be shown on the Russian side”.

Zelensky: “I am grateful for the close attention paid to diplomatic efforts”

“I had a very in-depth conversation with the Italian Prime Minister, @GiorgiaMeloni,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky writes on X. “I am grateful for the great attention paid to diplomatic efforts and for the support of our energy infrastructure with the equipment that Italy will deliver in the coming days. We discussed the results of our engagement with the American side, as well as the current prospects and challenges. There is still a lot of work to do together to ensure that Russia is truly committed to put an end to the war. Italy clearly supports the need for real security and to prevent new outbreaks of war. We are preparing joint efforts in Europe to make diplomacy work.”

Trump jr, USA could stop aid to Ukraine

The US may stop providing military aid to Ukraine. The says it eldest son of the US president, Donald Trump jr, during a forum in Doha.
