Khaled Mashal claims: 51% of the youth in the USA support Hamas

Mashal added that “the Palestinian cause revived the spirit of the region and the nation”, and that after years in which the Arab world went “into a dark tunnel of the peace process, normalization and attempts to cooperate with Israel”, in his words, “the nation woke up and returned to its spirit towards the goal”.

He also said: “Today we stand by the creators of this flood, after two years full of heroism, creativity, resilience and suffering at the hands of the great popular base in Gaza that created all this glory.”

He emphasized that the responsibility towards the population in Gaza “is great, not only the responsibility of the Hamas leadership, nor the Palestinian leadership, but the responsibility of the entire nation, and we will remain with them with all our might.”

Mashal also referred to the current international discourse on the two-state solution, and claimed that “the regional and international movement talked in the church about the two-state solution, which was forbidden in the past, because ‘Israel’ rejected it and destroyed it, and the American government abandoned it.”

Later in his speech, he attacked Israel, saying: “Within two years, Israel’s ugly face has been exposed, and you can see it in the international arena. Countries dared to confront it at a time when no politician or leader dared to confront it. The Israeli became an outcast because he belongs to a murderous entity, and genocide is an actual Holocaust crime.”
