The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution calling on Israel to cooperate with UNRWA

The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution calling on Israel to cooperate with UN agencies, primarily UNRWA.

139 countries voted for this resolution, 12 were against, and 19 abstained.

Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon said in response: “No resolution will change Israel’s position. UNRWA is an organization that supports terror, its employees have been involved in kidnappings, murders and harboring terrorists. Israel will continue to protect its citizens and will not cooperate with an organization that acts against it.”
