“Peace is not far.” Erdogan after the meeting with Putin

After the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that he hopes to discuss the peace plan between Ukraine and Russia with US President Donald Trump, adding that “peace is not far away”.

“After our meeting with Putin, we hope to have the opportunity to discuss the peace plan with US President Donald Trump. Peace is not far, we can see it,” the President of Turkey told reporters while returning from Turkmenistan, where he met with the President of the Russian Federation yesterday.

Yesterday, it was reported that Putin and Erdogan discussed in detail the issue of the Ukrainian settlement, as well as regional and international issues.

According to the Kremlin, the agenda of Brussels was also to provide frozen Russian assets in Europe as a loan to Ukraine. The two leaders agreed that such reckless actions could undermine the Bretton Woods system that regulates international trade and financial relations, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
