The discussion in the format of a working breakfast was attended by the Vice President of the European Commission, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaya Kalas, the Commissioner for EU Enlargement, Marta Kos, and heads and representatives of the foreign policy departments of the EU member states.

It is said in the press release of the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs. “In the context of regional developments, the partners of the EU member states expressed their support for the process of unblocking communications, efforts aimed at the further consolidation of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan.”

According to the MFA, the EU member states have expressed their support for Armenia’s democratic development, strengthening its resistance, as well as countering hybrid threats.

Earlier today, Kaya Kallas, the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Affairs, announced that Armenia has asked the EU for help before the June 2026 parliamentary elections.

“You know that there are elections in Armenia next year, and we should see what we can do to help them. Armenians turned to us, asking to provide the same support in the fight against foreign interference, as we provided to Moldova,” Kallas said.
