Forum on creating an international force in Gaza ended unsuccessfully in Qatar

Representatives of more than 40 states took part in a forum held in Qatar, where the formation of an international stabilization force in Gaza was discussed. The meeting, held under the auspices of the US Central Command, ended without results.

As reported, the conference was supposed to discuss the structure of forces and forms of participation of various states – the direction of forces, the training of Palestinian police or the financing of the mission. No one is ready to take on the disarmament of Hamas envisioned by President Donald Trump’s plan.

Türkiye, one of the signatories of the American President’s plan to resolve the situation in Gaza, did not take part in the forum. Official Ankara has close ties with Hamas; Israel believes that its presence will strengthen this terrorist group.
