The trainč (42) car with Zagreb license plates was seriously injured tonight, about 20 minutes after midnight, in Šibenik’s Put Bioca Street. According to police information, the man was driving under the influence of alcohol, with a measured blood alcohol level of 1.53 per thousand, when his car stopped due to lack of fuel. After that, he got out of the vehicle and tried to push it back onto the pavement through the open train door.
When turning to the left on a part of the roadway with a longitudinal drop, the trainč lost control of the vehicle, which he tried to stop with physical force. At the same time, the car crossed the northbound traffic lane, crossed the roadway and the elevated sidewalk, and stopped on the grass-earth surface on the south side of the street.
In an attempt to stop the vehicle, the 42-year-old suffered serious injuries. He was given medical assistance. in the General Hospital in Šibenik, where he was detained for further hospital treatment.
Due to the violation of the Road Safety Act, the police issued a misdemeanor order against the train.
