Team Picnic Post NL sees Tour revelation leave after all: INEOS Grenadiers snares Oscar Onley

Team Picnic Post NL initially rejected all offers – Onley was still under contract until the end of 2027 – but the Dutch team ultimately agreed. “In recent days, however, a very late, but very attractive offer followed. Although the team would have liked to keep Oscar until the end of his contract or even longer, this offer was too strong for both the rider and the team to refuse,” said a press release.

The team in question is INEOS Grenadiers. Oscar Onley wants to further develop as a tour rider with the British team in the coming years. “Both Team Picnic PostNL and INEOS Grenadiers have a rich history of competing for Grand Tour victories, and I am sure both teams will continue to do so in the years to come. The opportunity to represent the team of my homeland was one I could not refuse, and I am glad a solution has been found. The memories I have made here will be with me forever, and I know I will have stiff competition in the future from the new crop of talent this team continues to produce.”
