Livestock farmers received EUR 6.5 million in support, about 1,000 people are coming

Riječ is about subsidies from the Support Program for the restoration of damaged production potential in the sector of beef cattle breeding, pig breeding, and meat sheep and goat breeding for the period from 2025 to 2027.

Subsidies were paid to the accounts of 1,068 beneficiaries.

– By paying 6.5 million euros in support to livestock farmers throughout Croatia, we show that we stand by our producers when it is most important – said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries David Vlajčić.

These funds, as he stated, will help financially to restore the damaged production potential in the cattle, pig, sheep and goat production sector. Vlajčić said that small and medium-sized family farms will benefit the most.

The aim of the program is to provide financial assistance to primary producers in the cattle, pig, sheep and goat production sector for the success and sustainability of agricultural farms and the restoration of damaged production potential.

The support will restore the production potential of the beef cattle, pig farming, sheep and goat farming sectors, as much as it was damaged in the observed period.

As stated in the press release, the subsidies are aimed at small and medium-sized family farms in the range of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises that breed fodder, cattle, and sheep and goats of meat and mixed breeds.
