The Serb was stealing wine like crazy. Half of America is looking for him. His partner was caught, and he swept away to Vienna?

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office has issued three warrants for the arrest of Nikola Krndia, 57, for three felonies related to the theft of wine from L’Auberge Provencal restaurant on November 19, 2025, with an estimated value of $38,000. His partner, British citizen Natalie Ray, is also suspected in the theft case.

Investigators believe that Krndija left the United States of America on November 20, 2025, on a flight from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, which he traveled to Vienna, Austria. The investigation, which is being conducted by the Clark County Sheriff’s Office in cooperation with federal authorities, is still ongoing.

Last month, thieves stole several bottles of rare wine from an inn and restaurant in Clark County, Virginia. In a video published on its YouTube channel, the hotel and restaurant “L’Auberge Provencale Inn & Restaurant” stated that the robbery took place on November 19, when a couple posing as event organizers gained access to the wine cellar.

Seeing what happened and that Krndija headed towards the exit with the bottles, the sommelier raised the alarm, but moreć it was too late because Krndija managed to take the drinks out of the restaurant and escape in the car he had previously rented. However, his partner in crime Ray was not so lucky, the waiter held her until the police arrived.

Not the only robbery?

According to local media, it is suspected that this is not the only robbery of this type that could be connected to the suspect.

“American authorities believe that there are ongoing active investigations into similar thefts of expensive wines across the USA in which this couple could be involved, including the theft of wine worth about 30,000 US dollars in Delray Beach, Florida several years ago,” writes the Washington Post.
