Camorra, fugitive Antonio Aloia arrested. He must serve 27 years in prison

At the first light of dawn the Carabinieri of the Castello di Cisterna investigative unit, coordinated by the Neapolitan Anti-Mafia District Directorate, tracked down and arrested the fugitive Antonio Aloia, 47 years old.
The man had disappeared without trace since August 2024, when he did not return to prison after a reward permit. He was detained for mafia-style criminal association, illegal possession of weapons, continuous extortion aggravated by the mafia method.
Aloia was hiding in the apartment of a 45-year-old man and when the Carabinieri of Castello di Cisterna – supported by the API team of Naples – broke in, he was sleeping. On the nightstand next to his bed, a pistol with a round in the chamber.
The man who hosted it was also arrested.
The forty-seven year old must serve a sentence of 27 years and 3 months in prison, which ends in 2030. Twenty years ago he had already been arrested as a fugitive. Aloia is Andrea’s brother, arrested by the Carabinieri in October 2023, he was also a fugitive, and is the 23rd fugitive caught in 2025 by the military of the Provincial Command.
