The extreme conditions have disrupted the activities of the population, even though they are accustomed to temperatures well below zero. Schools stopped, kindergartens closed, citizens often stuck in their homes with mountains of snow in front of their doors. In six districts of the republic, with temperatures constantly below -40 degrees, managing coal supplies, widely used to heat homes, is starting to become a problem.
