Snow and frost apocalypse at Christmas, how to live at -56 degrees

Apocalypse of frost, snow and wind in Siberia. In Yakutia, in particular, temperatures as low as -56 degrees have been recorded, the lowest ever in the world at this time. Some areas, such as the village of Tiksi, were hit by snowstorms that lasted for 48-72 hours.

The extreme conditions have disrupted the activities of the population, even though they are accustomed to temperatures well below zero. Schools stopped, kindergartens closed, citizens often stuck in their homes with mountains of snow in front of their doors. In six districts of the republic, with temperatures constantly below -40 degrees, managing coal supplies, widely used to heat homes, is starting to become a problem. Weather conditions complicate supply operations.

The problems particularly affect the Ust-Aldansky, Churapchinsky, Tattinsky, Megino-Kangalassky, Amginsky and Gorny districts. There would also be a lack of resources to guarantee the continuation of extraction and transport activities; the intervention of the Ministry of Finance is awaited to reactivate the chain.
