Byram. It is possible to develop trade between Armenia and Azerbaijan in other areas

Bayramov also informed that “Azerbaijan, as a gesture of goodwill, unilaterally removed restrictions on the transit of goods to Armenia.” According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, a request was received from Armenia regarding the sale of oil products, and the issue of transportation through the territory of Georgia was raised. He noted that the tariff applied by Georgia was really very high. “This raised questions in Azerbaijan. The leadership of Georgia immediately intervened and the problem was solved. The tariff was agreed between the companies, fully complying with the market conditions. This shows that Azerbaijan-Georgia relations are friendly. I think this issue has been resolved and that path will be used again,” Bayramov said.

The Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan believes that it is possible to develop trade between Azerbaijan and Armenia in other areas. “Trade in military goods between the two countries is excluded, but trade in other areas is possible. We expect that this process will take place,” Bayramov emphasized.

Last week, around 1,300 tons of gasoline was imported from Azerbaijan to Armenia via the Georgian railway, which is already being sold at gas stations.

Yesterday, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan expressed hope that as Azerbaijan imports fuel to Armenia, in the near future there will be exports from Armenia to Azerbaijan as well. Pashinyan did not elaborate on what products can be exported from Armenia to Azerbaijan.
