The operation of Archbishop Michael Adjapahyan, leader of Shirak Diocese, was completed a little while ago, lawyer Yerem Sargsyan said.
According to him, the operation was successful.
The bishop was transferred to “Izmirlian” medical center on December 16.
Earlier, the penitentiary medicine center offered to operate the reverend at the expense of the state in the hospital they suggested, but the archbishop insisted that his doctor is at the “Izmirlian” medical center, and he intends to have the operation there.
Adjapahyan, who was sentenced to two years in prison, is accused of calling to seize power, he does not accept the guilt, he considers it a political persecution.
