The UAE Foreign Ministry rejected Saudi Arabia’s accusations, calling for a resolution to the crisis

The United Arab Emirates Foreign Ministry has rejected Saudi Arabia’s claims that the UAE is fomenting war in Yemen. It is also noted that the Saudi statements were made without consultation with allies.

“The supplies in question did not include weapons, and the armored vehicles were not intended for any Yemeni forces, but for our troops operating in Yemen – in accordance with the agreements with Saudi Arabia and our obligations that the equipment would remain in the port,” the Foreign Ministry said.

“Responsible steps are needed to prevent further escalation. The parties must coordinate their actions to ensure stability, security, protect common interests and promote a political solution that will end the crisis in Yemen,” the document notes.

The statement does not directly comment on the decision of the internationally recognized Yemeni government to terminate the defense agreement with the UAE and the demand to withdraw troops within 24 hours. However, it is noted that the situation raises reasonable concerns and may have serious consequences.
