New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s swearing-in ceremony will take place at midnight today in one of the non-functioning subway stations in the city center. Reuters agency informs about this.
According to the media, Mamdani’s swearing-in ceremony will take place at the Old City Hall station, which stopped serving passengers in the middle of the last century and opens its doors to tourists only a few times a year.
“From the old station, Mamdani will move to the square next to the New York City Hall, where he will deliver a speech,” Reuters reports.
According to American sources, about 4,000 people will attend Mamdani’s inauguration ceremony.
