Trump announced the United States’ readiness to support protests in Iran. Israeli politicians react

US President Donald Trump published a statement on his social network TruthSocial: “If Iran shoots and brutally kills peaceful protesters, as is their custom, the United States of America will come to the rescue. We are on full alert and ready to act.”

What exact actions the US authorities are ready to take against Iran is unclear from Trump’s post.

Some Israeli politicians soon made public statements on this issue.

NDI leader Avigdor Lieberman wrote on the social network X regarding Trump’s statement: “I am sure that in this case Israel will join.”

Israel’s Minister of National Security, leader of the Otzma Yehudit party Itamar Ben-Gvir published a tweet in Farsi: “The Iranian people deserve to live freely, free from the bloodthirsty dictator Khamenei… We are with you!” He illustrated his post with an image of a crumbling statue of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, next to a hanging rope and a burning flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran, under the image a caption in Farsi and English: “The dictator must fall.”

According to Iranian and foreign media reports, amid the current wave of protests in Iran, there are deaths and dozens of injuries. Information about the victims is being clarified.
