Diplomatic scandal between Prague and Kiev

Ukrainian officials are criticizing the statement of Tomio Okamura, the speaker of the lower house of the Czech parliament, about stopping the supply of weapons to Kiev. Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of the Parliament of Ukraine, Ruslan Stefanchuk, accused his Czech colleague of cynicism. “Okamura’s New Year’s message was a vivid display of ignorance, cynicism and manipulation. By once again insulting Ukraine and Ukrainians, Okamura embarrassed the Czech Republic and the Czechs, who continue to stand by dignity, justice, and Ukraine,” Stefanchuk said.
