Saudi Arabia reported the escape of the head of Yemeni separatists

The spokesman for the Saudi-led coalition, Turki al-Malki, said that the leader of the separatists operating in southern Yemen, Aidarus al-Zubaidi, fled to an unknown direction.

The head of the Southern Transitional Council was supposed to arrive in Saudi Arabia to participate in a conference on the situation in southern Yemen with the participation of all movements operating there. Earlier, the council welcomed the kingdom’s initiative to hold it.

However, the statement emphasized that any serious dialogue must recognize the will of the southerners, including international guarantees, and weigh the issue of a free referendum as part of any proposals for a political solution in Yemen.
