Macron attacked Trump: He turns his back on allies and breaks the rules

“The United States is an established power, but it is progressively turning away from some of its allies and breaking away from the international rules it promoted until recently,” Macron told ambassadors in Paris on Thursday.

He said that among the great powers there is a temptation to “divide the world”.

In his statements, Macron specifically mentioned China and Russia and warned that they are weakening all areas for clarification and continued cooperation on common issues.

“There is a risk that our Europe will be weakened,” he said, saying it could become the last place where we still remember “the rules of the game that others no longer follow.”
