A letter of protest was sent to the Russian ambassador at the RA Foreign Ministry in connection with Solovyov’s statements

According to Ani Badalyan, “it was emphasized that they are an unacceptable encroachment and hostility against the sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia and grossly violate the fundamental principles of friendly relations between Armenia and Russia.”

One of the most famous propagandists of the Kremlin, Vladimir Solovyov, during his author’s program “Evening with Vladimir Solovyov”, referred to Armenia again, speaking, as he put it, about the need to start a “special military operation” in Armenia as well as in Ukraine.

Official Moscow calls the war against Ukraine “a special military operation”.

“If for our national security we needed to launch a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine, why can’t we launch a special military operation in other points of our sphere of influence for the same reasons,” stated Solovyov.

For almost two years now, Armenia has taken off the airwaves of Vladimir Solovyov’s author’s programs in its territory.
