Today, on the way back to Turkey from Russia, Recep Erdogan answered the journalists’ questions on the plane and also referred to the tension created in Karabakh.
He repeated his position, saying that “Karabakh is located within the internationally recognized borders of Azerbaijan.” This is reported by “Daily Sabah”.
Erdogan assured that Turkey will contribute to the peace of the Black Sea region. He said that he offered Russian President Vladimir Putin to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Turkey. He considered the ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine possible “if the parties are sensitive to the promises”.
Asserting that there are still terrorist groups in Syria, Erdogan said that he asked for Russia’s support in this matter.
“Russian President Putin maintains a fair approach towards Turkey. He will always be with us in the fight against terrorism,” Erdogan said.
Yesterday, the President of Turkey held talks with the President of Russia Vladimir Putin in Sochi for more than four hours.
