Today, the representatives of Armenia and Azerbaijan jointly examined the condition of the infrastructure of the Yeraskh-Sadarak railway section in order to assess the technical suitability of that section in order to carry out complex infrastructure restoration measures, reports the Ministry of Territorial Management and Infrastructures.
The government does not specify who exactly the meeting was between, it is only mentioned that the parties exchanged ideas on the assessment of the technical condition of the railway infrastructure in the given section.
Earlier, the Prime Minister of Armenia announced that he applied to “Russian Railways”, which took over the concession management of the Armenian railway, to restore this part of the railway in an accelerated manner. At the same time, Pashinyan emphasized that if it turns out that the Russian side has a problem with the restoration of those sections, the Armenian government can take them back and repair them with its own funds.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan stated earlier that the de-blockade will not make sense and will not work if the Yeraskh-Sadarak section is not de-blocked.
