Rodriguez boccia axe: "At the right time I will be elected president"

“There is a mission: we will transform Venezuela into that land of grace, and I believe that I will be elected president of Venezuela at the right time, the first female president”. This was said by the opposition leader and Nobel Peace Prize winner Maria Corina Machado in a Fox News interview recorded after the Thursday, January 15 meeting with Donald Trump at the White House.

Machado explained that Venezuela is “going through a very complex and dedicated process” now. “As Venezuelans we are absolutely grateful to President Trump, his team, his administration and the people of the United States,” he said, speaking at the Heritage Foundation, a right-wing Washington platform that supports the tycoon. “The president – he added – cares about the people of Venezuela, he told me this yesterday and I think it is the most important message”.

The Nobel Peace Prize winner then attacked Venezuela’s interim president Delcy Rodriguez, despite being praised by Trump. She is a “communist, main ally of the Russian, Chinese and Iranian regimes – he highlighted -. However, I am confident that we will have an orderly transition.”

Machado explained that his fight against the Caracas government is not a personal issue with Rodriguez. “It is a question between the drug cartel and justice, between the criminal structure which is a regime and the mandate of the Venezuelan people. I have no doubt that Trump supports democracyjustice, freedom and the mandate of the Venezuelan people”, she added, when asked for her opinion on the support given by Trump to Nicolas Maduro’s former deputy.
