The court of Kyiv has chosen the restraining order against Tymoshenko

Today, the court of Kyiv chose the restraining order against Yulia Tymoshenko, former prime minister of Ukraine, leader of the opposition “Batkivshina” party.

According to the court’s decision, Tymoshenko will remain free on bail of 33 million hryvnias (760 thousand US dollars). However, he was forbidden to leave the territory of Kyiv region, as well as to communicate with several dozen deputies of the parliament.

Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Office accuses Tymoshenko of trying to bribe representatives of the ruling majority before important votes. The former prime minister does not accept the accusation.
