Trump claims to have saved NATO from the “dumpster of history”

The president of the United States, Donald Trump, defended this Tuesday that NATO continues to exist thanks to him, while European leaders work to guarantee security in the Arctic in the face of threats from the American president regarding Greenland, an autonomous island belonging to Denmark.

“No person, nor president, has done more for NATO than Trump. If he had not arrived, NATO would not exist right now! It would have remained in the “dumpster of history.” Sad but true,” the New York magnate said in a message posted on social networks.

In a separate post, the head of state of the United States has shared the message of a user who maintains that “China and Russia are the villains when the real threat is the UN, NATO and their ‘religion’.”

His statements come after Washington has insisted on controlling Greenland as a matter of “national security”, although the authorities of Denmark and this island territory have demanded that the threats cease, appealing to the fact that Copenhagen is a historically close ally of Washington and that the island “is not for sale.”
