The plane carrying US President Donald Trump landed at Zurich airport, Switzerland at 1pm today (7pm Hanoi time), two hours later than the original schedule, because his original flight was forced to turn around due to an electrical system problem.
President Trump will travel by Marine One helicopter from the airport to Davos, where the World Economic Forum (WEF) is taking place. He will give a speech to the attending delegates at 2:30 p.m. (8:30 p.m. Hanoi time).

This year’s WEF takes place from January 19 to 23 in Davos, Switzerland with the theme A Spirit of Dialogue. WEF organizers said this year’s event will have more than 3,000 delegates from more than 130 economies attending, including more than 60 heads of state and government officials.
“Dialogue is not a luxury in times of uncertainty, but an urgent need,” said WEF President and CEO Borge Brende.
This year’s WEF is overshadowed by President Trump’s recent policy moves, including Denmark’s attempt to control Greenland. The White House boss made tough statements, not excluding military options to achieve the goal. Last weekend, US leaders announced that tariffs would be imposed on eight European countries from February and would remain until there is a comprehensive agreement for Washington to control Greenland.
