Braunschweig: Driving without a license! Police stop 15-year-old

Braunschweig – A 15-year-old grabbed his car keys to drive his father to the hospital. But the plan was unraveled in Braunschweig: the teenager from Helmstedt had neither an ID nor a driver’s license with him – and couldn’t have one at all.

That night, police officers checked the car during a routine check. When the data was checked, it emerged that the driver was only 15.

The vehicle owner was drunk

Two adults were in the car: the boy’s father and the 43-year-old vehicle owner. The latter claimed that he didn’t know that the 15-year-old didn’t have one Driver’s license had. An alcohol test revealed that the man had an alcohol content of around one per mille.

The police immediately stopped the journey and collected the car keys. Criminal proceedings are now underway against the 15-year-old and the vehicle owner. The trip was with the Taxi continued.
