President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the document defining security guarantees of Ukraine by the US is ready, but the territorial issues have not yet been resolved.
Speaking to journalists at the World Economic Forum held in Davos, he said that both Russia and Ukraine should make compromises in the peace process.
“We are talking about an issue that is the most complex and has not yet been resolved,” Zelensky said. According to Reuters, Zelensky announced that negotiators from Russia, Ukraine and the United States will hold trilateral meetings in Abu Dhabi on Friday and Saturday for the first time.
US President Donald Trump negotiated with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in Davos for about an hour today. “I had a very good meeting with President Zelensky,” the US president announced.
“This war has to end,” Trump said when asked by reporters what message he had for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The President of Ukraine also described the meeting as “effective and meaningful”. Zelensky noted on the social network that the documents being negotiated between Washington and Kiev in order to stop the war are now more beneficial.
