Source: Iran will view any attack as the start of a “full-scale war”

A senior Iranian official said Iran would view any attack – “limited, unrestricted, targeted, whatever you want to call it” – as the start of a “full-scale war.”

The announcement comes as the USS Abraham Lincoln, along with the destroyers Spruance, Michael Murphy and Frank E. Petersen Jr., are approaching the region. The official himself, speaking on condition of anonymity, emphasized that Iran’s armed forces are in a state of heightened combat readiness and are ready for the worst-case scenario.

He also stressed that if US forces violate Iran’s sovereignty or territorial integrity, Tehran will respond – but did not specify what the response would be. According to him, a country “under constant military threat from the United States” has no choice but to use everything it has to repel the attack.

US President Donald Trump previously said that the United States was sending a military “armada” to Iran, but expressed the hope that it would not have to be used. He also repeated warnings to Tehran, warning it against further killings of protesters and resumption of its nuclear program.

Israel’s Home Front Command has not issued any warnings about changes in the situation over the past week. However, the likelihood of hostilities against the ayatollah regime remains high, and gradually enough forces are accumulating in the region for a powerful and lengthy military operation.
