In New York, police detained two 15-year-olds on suspicion of vandalism and anti-Semitic graffiti at a playground in the Borough Park neighborhood, home to a large Jewish community, JNS reported.

The incidents occurred over two days in a row: first, about 15 swastikas appeared on the site, and a day later another 45 and the inscription “Adolf Hitler” appeared.

Both teenagers were arrested on January 22 and are charged with a hate crime. One of them is also accused of causing damage to municipal property.

Police thanked the Hate Crime Unit and local volunteers for their help in catching the vandals.
